Photos! These are long overdue photos taken in Feb, during my trip to 龙庆峡. We were there to see the ice-carvings since we couldn't go Harbin during Chinese New Year.
Photos: 龙庆峡 ![]() The village we were staying at. ![]() These are dried sticky corns waiting to be sold! Sticky corns are different from those you get to eat in Singapore, which are sweet corns. They are sticky like glutinous rice, and not as sweet. ![]() 豆腐宴 (Toufu meal), is a set of dishes that use different kinds of toufu as the one of the ingredients for all the dishes. ![]() A creative idea from Jingxin. Green, Amber and Red. Which status are you? LoL. ![]() This fruit is called 红姑娘! Yes! Direct translation would be 'Red Girl'. But it's actually known as Cape Gooseberry, and it is different from gooseberries! ![]() An odd-shaped 葫芦 (Gourd) found in the yard of the place we stayed at, which is called a 农家院. ![]() Camwhore. ![]() And we went for horse riding!! ![]() The enchanting forest of the winter =) ![]() I don't remember where my eyes were looking at while this photo was taken. ![]() 白马王子 (direct translation: White Horse Prince, but actually means Prince Charming in Chinese)! Literally! ![]() While riding my 白马王子! ![]() Yayyy! =D ![]() Another older horse. ![]() =)) ![]() At the entrance of the ice-carving place. ![]() Pretty lanterns. ![]() Yes, these are the famous 冰灯!! Yep, structures made out of ice, usually buildings. ![]() Overview of the entire place. Impressive, isn't it? But those in Harbin are definitely better, trust me. ![]() Standing in one of the buildings. ![]() When water freezes on the dam wall.. This is what you see, a frozen waterfall-lookalike thing. ![]() Since this place is in the mountainous area, there are caves. This cave was decorated by fake plants to create a garden called 百花洞 (Flower Cave). ![]() Our reflections in the mirror! ![]() Phoenix. ![]() Those stretches of lights you see at the top left corner of the photo are actually parts of the Great Wall! ![]() Winter activities on ice!! It actually a frozen lake by the way. _____________________________________ Welcome back, my best buddy!! =D |
