Mt. Kinabalu Photos!
Finally! Photojournalism: At airport. Flying to Sabah.. Let me introduce our team members. This is Teck Kuan. He is, well, K.O. Our Mr Sum, making full use of every second during the flight. Left: Sharon- K.O. also. Right: Shujun-who has all sorts of uhm, creative expressions when taking photos, as you could/can see earlier/later. And of course, myself, the acting photographer(self claimed) of the trip! haha Overview of Mt. Kinabalu. Our 'home' on the first night in Sabah. An orchid under the morning sunlight. A group photo, taken just before the commencement of the climb. TK warming up and stretching hard just before the climb. The entrance to the climbing route. And the journey began.. After countless stairs.. TK finally saw the first resthut. Sum and I taking photos of each other at the same time (according toTK). Totally exhausted. The long waited lunch break! The fried rice is cold but yet so yummy! 2.5km more to the resthut we are going to sleep at that night. Bolders, Rocks, Stones. =) Feasting on our instant noodles and canned food at night. Next morning, 1am. Ground temperature is 8.7 degree Celsius. Sum and his lame stunt. The 3 of us, proudly standing on the highest peak (Low's Peak), of Mt. Kinabalu! Sadly, TK and Sharon didn't make it up there.. It started raining on the way back down. The chilling winds were unbearable. Back down at the base camp, finally. |
